"Akkulturasa" is a multimedia installation that encompasses audio, visual, and text elements. Over time, it has evolved into a performance series, offering a profound immersion into the collective art practices of the past five years. At its core, "Akkulturasa" explores the complex dynamics of acculturation, drawing inspiration from the exchange and fusion of cultural elements among diverse groups, ultimately reflecting the pressures and transformative power of this phenomenon. It is a testament to the collective's transformative journey as they navigate the complexities of cultural assimilation, adaptation, and exchange. Additionally, "rasa," a term inspired from the Indonesian language, adds depth to the title, encompassing not only emotional and aesthetic experiences but also referring to taste (sensory responses to neural stimuli, such as sweet, bitter, sour to the taste buds, or hot, cold, pain to the taste buds). This multifaceted interpretation invites viewers to explore the diverse "tastes" that emerge from the collective's engagement with various cultures, while also acknowledging the pressures and challenges that arise in the process. Through a mesmerizing fusion of audio, visual, and textual elements,

This on-going mutating pieces seamlessly melds retrospective introspection with forward-thinking speculation. It not only urges viewers to explore their own role in shaping this future but also nurtures a shared sense of imagination and eager anticipation for the ongoing development of the artistic collective.. The first one is Dea Karina's "Pedas jadi identitas?" ("Spicy becomes identity?"), an autobiographical article discussing the loss of a crucial Asian identity, skill, or stereotype due to Crohn’s disease (an autoimmune condition, which can be exacerbated by stress and trauma, including the trauma of immigration). The condition resulted in her losing the ability to enjoy spicy food .

The second piece is "Puisi rasa" by Umi Maisaroh. This poem serves as an attempt to deconstruct the traditional form of poetry by playing with words, letters, and meanings. Umi Maisaroh creatively utilizes only the letters from A-K-K-U-L-T-U-R-A-S-A to compose various other words (some borrowed from German and English) that present a new narrative. This narrative can also be related to the theme and concept of Akulturasa. This deconstruction process mirrors the essence of Akulturasa itself, where change and adaptation are necessities when individuals and their cultures encounter new environments.
