Moving, Listening, Creating

Movement & Improvisation Workshop with Roberta Ricci

As part of SCHÖN UNGEWÖHNLICH, Berlin-based dancer and choreographer Roberta Ricci invites participants to explore movement as a way of listening, connecting, and creating together.

How can we become more aware of our bodies while staying connected to what happens around us? How can we listen and respond to others through movement? And what can emerge when we allow ourselves to create something together in the moment?

Through playful exercises involving the body, breath, rhythm, energy, and space, participants will discover different qualities of movement and explore the possibilities of improvisation and collective creativity.

Moving between individual exploration, partnering, and group situations, the workshop introduces simple tools of instant composition, allowing spontaneous gestures to unfold into dances, stories, and shared experiences.

No choreography to memorize, no right or wrong movements. Just curiosity, presence, and the possibility of discovering something unexpected together.

The workshop is open to everyone aged 18 and over, with or without previous dance experience. We especially welcome people living in and around Schöneweide and the NOVILLA neighbourhood.
